Hmmmm...I wonder....not sure I totally agree on this one. I believe it would decrease the chances a lot, but somehow and somewhere people will find a reason for war anyway...how stupid it often can seem, but jealousy and hunger for power are reason enough without a lot of talk it seems.

War is Natures design, tongue or no tongue. The war will definitely not exist if we can defy the nature by refusing to behave like a CROWD.

A lot of truth in this JDism! St. James I believe wrote the tongue is set on by fires of hell.

Ok I have come back to this like four or five times now, it is a very thought provoking piece, I was kinda taking no tounge as being no language not the physical appendage and in that case then yes without language we wouldn't have half the troubles we have but we wouldn't have half the fun either. So yeah great work but it left me a little torn.

One of the most profound single lines I've ever come across!

I've started and re-started this comment several times... I can turn many ways with this. So I'll leave it at that and tell you that this is VERY thought provoking, Jadi, which is one of the things I appreciate about your "philosophies".

I think conflict might.. but have to agree that many times it is our words that incite beyond the point where we can use our minds and hearts, and let anger rule. Great piece JD.....

or lacked we eyes, as in the face that launched a thousand skiffs.

I'm not certain that it matters whether I agree or not, the fact is that this is yet another wonderful, thought-provoking "jadi-ism". You have chisled nothing in stone..."War MIGHT not exsist.." To me, this means, it is a personal thought about something that may or may not be true, nothing more. Nothing to be debated. Well said, JD. As always. We could all learn a lot from you. :)

If the opposing armies were forced by rules of order to fight in the nude...now there would be a big deterent! Who do you shoot? Let's see'em climb a tree with a full field pack and an M16! HA! It would be over before it started! - RCat

How true, especially if the tongue is impelled by the ignorance, and stupidity of arrogant political leaders. U.S. / N. Korea as a case in point. Gees... you touched a nerve there, my friend. Brilliant one liner. One of the best of all your outstanding journal entries.

nah. i think man will use another means.

Yeah, locution dysfunction is probably the world's major cause of death and destruction...and erectile dysfunction the greatest mediator. :)
