La Forza del Destino

by JD Clay

I saw the tempest

In the eyes of a star-child

She came alive

We soared on paper wings

Supped

On dragons breath

Tantra was a game

Tuscany a dream

We smudged our souls

In sage

Beckoned to the winds

All four

Chanting in harmonium

Dancing round the pyre

Lepidoptric love

Healing

One heart at a time

It was simple then

Sunrise sunset

A moment without time

Balancing what is

Blinded by

The legions of light

Dwindling spark to carry on

Heartspace fade to blue

Pacé mia Angelina

We fell and flew

Pacé Angelina

deep touching poem...can't really find the right words to express the feeling I get reading this. Something which doesn't happen too often.

i'll have to look up half those words, but I still enjoyed it. Definitely a fresh change of pace.

This one is going to take time to digest! Your muse has been so quiet of late. Lots of symbolic imagery. Takes me back to one of your much earlier works whose title escapes me. The same mystical quality. Angelina figured in that one as well as I recall.

Bless Angelina, her beauty is unparrallelled and your imagery cannot be beaten :)

What can I say that already hasn't been said? :) Amen to it all!

What a journey! - flight of butterflies - light and darkness from sun and earth's cycles - sacred clensing of smudge - revisiting moments of creation. A real delight, jadi. I feel honored that you shared your (or her) awakening with me.

I would admit of destiny, it's patience rather than it's strenght, waiting waiting to take us all in fold. Tis gold this poem.

I had to read this again because it is so pure ... "smudged our souls in sage" breaks my heart... Akh... this one is too powerful, too blinding for me to read often...

Magically transports me right along with it and what a great ride!

Enchanting read from start to finish. Not a word wasted or out of place. Glad I got to read this, and congrats on having it make the favorites list.
