Feeding Spiders

I can attest, though not well-versed
in this endeavor - jumped headfirst
but I won’t say I was coerced.
Feeding spiders is the best
and lends to life a certain zest
as they devour every pest
that dares to venture near their nest.
Feeding spiders is humdrum
but to this task I did succumb
and now they thrive with every crumb
of bug: I’ve got a “spider thumb”. 09/03/2013 Author's Note: I've been taking care of a false widow spider for approximately 3-1/2 years. Of late, I've been feeding several spiderlings in my kitchen with flightless fruit flies purchased from Petco. Sometimes, as one ages, one's mind goes...
