Maureen

by Glenn Currier

You noticed my poems,
little leaves dropped
in that Canadian garden
dotted with fresh plantings
of your creative journey.

You honored our greenness
watered it with empathy
made us wonder
what spark could propel
the engine of your love,
what spring fed the confluence
of your caring and commitment.

Sorting the crusty guilt
and the moist sadness
clinging to my soul
since I learned of your parting,
I am lost in the wind
wandering my void.

Is this your transition or mine?
Are these the slender fingers
of your spirit
now resting on my soul,
your smile comforting me?

Thank you dear one
for opening the windows
and for the soft mist
of your gentle spirit
that now lives in us.

Beautiful expression in appropriately natural images, of seed and breeze, green and mist. Looking out those open "windows" she opened through our "moist saddness" in her soft mist this indeed...is all we can do. And you have done it well, and movingly, here.

in what better hands than yours, dear friend is such tribute paid to such a wonderful spirit as was and is Maureen? We shall never forget her, and your words Glenn, will assure us we wont.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss Maureen. Glenn, your words so well describe Mo's gentle spirit and her harmony with the world and this site. I miss her all over again.

A fitting tribute Glenn for any of us who knew Maureen either in person or on the net. Wonderfully crafted and presented. I'm sure Maureen feels its warmth.

Iespecially like the refrence to the transition and her fingers on your soul perhaps.I am sure that my sister hears your words and is consoled in knowing others enjoyed her work.
