Doors of perception – 3

by Ashok Sharda

It gives me

A hazy view of WHAT IS, without

When I traverse X space of space

In one minute

It gives me

An outer most view of WHAT IS , without

When I traverse the same space of space

In ten minutes

It gives me

A glimpse into WHAT IS, without

When I traverse the same space of space

In one hour

Less of space of space

In more of time

Produces glimpses

Of WHAT IS, without.

(un)likewise,

it gives me

a hazy view of WHAT IS, within

when I traverse X space of time

in one life time

It gives me

An outer most view of WHAT IS, within

When I traverse the same space of time

In one year

It gives me

a glimpse into the world of knowledge

when I traverse the same space of time

in one minute

I conclude:

More of space of time

In less of time

Shall give me a glimpse into

WHAT IS.

I am sure

The doors of perception

Shall open up

When I shall be able to

Traverse the same space of time

In NOTIME.

"NOTIME"... oh, ashok, you are AWESOME... i would like to hereby say NOTHANKS for opening the doors of perception for me (you know our little joke)... yime can be very short, or it can be expanded... it is all a matter of PERCEPTION... brilliant insight, as usual... blessings...

Funny how time can be such an obstacle.

Those moments of brilliant light that illuminate... funny how we spend our time THINKING and not LETTING. Ashok, this is oncredible.

Stunning, really. Ashok I don't know where to begin with this one. Your comparison of "space of space" to "space of time" in time, in relation to your understanding of WHAT IS WITHIN AND WHAT IS WITHOUT is breathtaking. This is such a complex idea, as both space and time exist simultaneously within and without. Yet here they are taken apart and analyzed separately to reveal how each affects perception, in time (I think). Even more interesting is the fact that whether we spend a minute traversing space of space, or a lifetime traversing space of time, our doors of perception open wide enough only to show us a GLIMPSE of WHAT IS WITHIN and WITHOUT, which amounts to very little knowledge in the grand scheme. Still, to us, a glimpse into the "world of knowledge" and "WHAT IS, WITHOUT" is the best we hope to achieve...unless we manage to "Traverse the same space of time In NOTIME." Then maybe we would see and understand all the dimensions of WHAT IS, WITHIN and WHAT IS, WITHOUT together, in the same space and same time. But how do you traverse anything in no time friend? I guess that's the problem. I’m not quite sure if I am butchering your meaning with this comment, but I am sure that your poems invigorate me Ashok :-)

traversing space in no time.. why that sounds like a quantum leap! the point, as always, to pay attention. you make us all think.

time and space and birth and effort, not exclusive of wisdom has afforded your bestowing on us, this poem. And other's accueing at the birthing gate, with quills in hand, yet pences short in ther tills to pay the toll.

Great summation, Ashok. Further evidence that time IS an illusion , and that the only time that truly exists is the present, no matter the distance. See you on the flip side. Pe4ce...

Catchy reflection of what is and what will be. Reads as if Einstein himself acting as muse has dictated this one to you.

I really like how this delves into a physics-like formula of life. I also like how you progress through each different time period to describe how each view of "what is" is

You challenge me to transcend space and time, as usual, to extend my vision beyond perception. Very thought and spirit provoking, my friend.
