I am the author of The Watcher: Poems, my debut collection of poetry published in 2010 by Cedar Leaf Press. Not just weather wise, but in terms of the people, the things to do, and the general atmosphere. I feel years of big city living melting off of me each year (after spending most of my life in and around Chicago.) I have two kids, a girl and boy, who keep me busy every day. I work as a web designer, and owner of a silk-screened baby shirt business, Huge Wonder.
I'm the moderator of the Tadpole Society, check it out! It's a circle dedicated to haiku. Haiku is a short poem, usually 3 lines, using very simple language to recreate a single moment. The moment occurs when some juxtaposition of nature, or nature and the observer, illustrates human nature or poignancy of life as rooted in the natural word. Senryu is a short poem that deals with human nature entirely, with topics such as love, death, sex, or politics.
