Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 06/23/03 at 12:10 PM politics is madness, a slight of hand in which the fools falling incessantly for its allure with every rabbit it pulls out of its topper. provoking work, and much winged is your heart, Vimal |

Posted by John Ilotan on 06/23/03 at 11:09 PM Intriguing write. I esp. liked the third stanza. Very well written. Great work. |
Posted by Max Bouillet on 06/24/03 at 09:30 PM Excellent and all too true observation... great verse thanks for sharing. |
Posted by Mara Meade on 06/24/03 at 10:02 PM -sigh- Vimal, this is so true! It seems humankind can't have ANYTHING without taking it to its furthest limits. I like the idea of the sky being universal, and that only a more spiritual part of us can take flight. That is indeed something to be thankful for. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/26/03 at 06:07 PM Those last two lines say it all. Nice unexpected angle of expression here. |
Posted by Alex Smyth on 07/08/03 at 04:18 AM What a wise concept! Yes, thank God for our limitations, perhaps they keep us from annihilating our race! Most excellent expression, V! |
Posted by JD Clay on 07/13/03 at 09:40 PM Nice to know someone is watching over us, eh! Your aphorism a testament. Good stuff, Vimal.

Posted by Agnes Eva on 07/20/03 at 07:41 AM really a brilliant, modernly cynical vision you've had here... you know stars are for sale here, you can get a 'certificate' and get a star named for someone as a gift (starfoundation.net. but i do love your last line about winged hearts. |
Posted by Stephanie Kent on 07/27/03 at 10:16 PM I love the last stanza...very true. |
Posted by Glenn Currier on 08/18/03 at 12:15 AM I love the way the poem powerfully delivers your sentiment... and touches on my own. It seems that politics all to often seems to limit us. But your poem expresses the freedom available to all of us if we just stop and look around... and up. The last line is the best... sheer genius... creative and uplifting work, Vimal! |
Posted by Kristine Briese on 08/20/03 at 07:34 PM Such astonishing perspective, expressed with such perfect imagery. |
Posted by Charles E Minshall on 08/21/03 at 01:04 AM I like the whole poem but especially the last
stanza. Good work Vimal.....Charlie |
Posted by Jeanne Marie Hoffman on 09/24/03 at 05:49 PM The second verse reminds me of how my friends in the Czech Republic cannot visit me without a huge hassle because the US is afraid of the communist influence still in that country... but its democratic even! And they can't come here just to visit. Great points made |
