shapeshifter by Betania TeschI am a shapeshifter--
one moment so clear
so clearly possessed (by you--yours)
so clear that you run
into me, hitting your head
with a dull thwack--
another so shrouded
and guarded (against you--mine)
so shrouded in illusion
that you can only imagine
my existence into reality.
I morph and split
from one appetite to another,
always hungry
for skinfleshbloodbonechaos,
oh sweet pandemonium,
wrapped in need's guise.
I am a shapeshifter--
androgynously sensual,
so sensually sexual,
stimulating softness
so sensual as only a manwoman
can appeal to everyone.
I fit into your keyholes
and your throat.
I keep your body out
and your words in
before I simply
change shapes and disappear. 11/19/2002 Author's Note: One of those, nothing I do feels right but it's all I know types...

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 11/20/02 at 05:55 PM A plus for us all this wonderful adaptation of sci-fi well applied to the romantic and sensual. If I forget, Happy Birthday also! See you've got one coming up on Saturday. :o) |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 11/21/02 at 12:02 PM is it as we like it or as they do, as we feel it or as they will? Fine poem Bethany. |

Posted by Glenn Currier on 12/15/02 at 01:35 PM The Trekers never did it so well or with such passion and angst as thee, my dear. I love the title and the way you have expressed it as an all too human phenomenon. |
