Sometimes

by Philip F De Pinto

Sometimes

A gourd will turn

Into a carriage

Sometimes

A marriage will turn

Into children

Unless

It is

Barren

Sometimes

The latter is preferred

Over the litter

Hello, Philip. I haven't read your work in a long time. You don't disappoint-you are still the fine poet I have always known you to be. The content conveys a pragmatic truth-- raising up children is a very hard job. Expensive too. Life is so much simpler and easier to manage when there are no children to complicate things. I hope you are doing well. I have missed this old place. Seems like in just a blink, we turned old. Where did that time go?
