Suddenly by Philip F De Pinto
Believe -
It strikes me
That I don't
Embrace such thing
As is well lit
As when a sun in flight
Hugs a leaf
With its blush
Suddenly
And without permit
What joy what glee
To see such a light
In lush
Till envious clouds
Roll past
Ready made
To cast that leaf
In shade

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 07/01/16 at 12:12 AM A clever mix of spontaneity and joy and that which seems to resent such. The title speaks of moments of wonder, to me. Thank you. Your sun and I would get along. |
Posted by George Hoerner on 07/01/16 at 01:44 AM I have no doubt that 'nature' and all things 'natural' have a level of envy in them. I see how one of my dogs becomes jealous when it doesn't get enough attention from me or my wife. |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 08/09/16 at 01:25 AM I share the embrace with deep grace of awe and gratitude. Joyfully I am wrapped in your ability to describe. |
Posted by Laura Doom on 08/26/16 at 12:59 PM I'm sure it is the sun's doing, envious of such ephemeral allure. |
