Passion

by George Hoerner

I’m not stripped of passion
Yet
Who knows when
But it may come

I’ve had this passion for life
At least from the time
I was in high school
Life, the whole thing
Beginning to end

Where ever they have led
I don’t have the answers
Any!
But the passion hangs on

To see and to know
The difference between
All the beauty
All the ugliness
Of the world

Which has both
And if we don’t see
All of it
We might just as well
Not even look

A fine piece, George. Your philosophy comes through clearly. I really like your comment about not having any of the answers and yet your curiosity continues. Thanks for this!

So true George. Excellent summation in that last stanza.
