***With smiles and poetry by A. Paige WhiteIf I were a secret admirer
What kind of card would I leave?
Addressed, sealed and delivered
Not a handwritten word, unsigned
What would the message be?
Something the unknown heard, from me
Written once on the front
Twice insideā¦ oh what would that message be?
Delivered quickly, left deftly
admired with smiles and poetry
If I were a secret admirer
would I say? 12/18/2012

Posted by Joan Serratelli on 12/19/12 at 05:17 PM IF I were a secret admirerer, I would print this out and give it to the one I want. It would be much appeciated! It just might make ALL the difference in the world! |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 12/20/12 at 06:18 AM I agree with the first two comments. I like the subtle playfulness of this one, and the closing line; leaving the word 'what' out gives the line a different meaning in tune with what comes before. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 12/20/12 at 06:12 PM Intriguing from start to finish. Oh, to go back to the scented envelope arriving with the seal waxed and decorative, the contents waiting. Thanks, Paige. |

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 01/08/13 at 04:12 PM to keep or not to keep it secret, that is the question every admirer has to ask themselves in secret. and yet it is so painful to retain the secret, especially if you admire this person so much and beyond admiration. |
