A martyr to love by Linda FullerA martyr to love, she behaved
in a way altogether depraved
she burned all her knickers
made prank calls to vicars
then had her red curly hair shaved
It wasn’t one man that she craved
her libertine pennant she waved
to summon the masses
be they princes or asses
cupidity had her enslaved

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/14/12 at 04:00 PM I'd say she embraces love to its fullest. Hilarious! Thanks for this. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/15/12 at 07:38 PM Reminds me much of the inquisition, equally disturbing. A great write for sure, making all who read it think. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/24/12 at 03:15 PM I love the way this moves, Linda. Its got grace and the rhythm is perfect and its off beat quality is divine. |
