Ambivalentine

by Linda Fuller

I love how you adore me
your endless stories bore me
your playful antics charm me
your politics alarm me
your lovemaking’s ferocious
your manners are atrocious
your intellect’s stupendous
your sarcasm’s horrendous
I really love you, darling
and yet we’re always quarreling
I really love you, honey
or is it just your money?

Cute! very cute! unless it is true, in which case I think you might have more than one problem! Good write lady.

I don’t write love poems. It is so hard to make them good. But I like yours; there is realness about it. A love poem is a hard to do and you did it well. Love has many problems just a fact, and the same reason all Disney movies end after the marriage of the beautiful couple, and they lived happily ever after………. Really?

LOL, I truly did, great quips and playfulness with the parallels. Congrats on reaching the top-rated list with this timely piece...happy writing, peace, jewels

LOL! Couldn't have asked for a more appropriate title, or for that matter a poem to go with the title. Excellent twist to Valentine's Day poetry Linda.

The internal dialog of the soul can be quite disconcerting and honest. This little self-banter is quite a valentine.

Read this as someone else's favourite -- simply brilliant. What else to say?
[sweet talking it into my f list]

I would venture to say that it is the former, but then it could as easily be the latter, then again it could be an amalgam of both. Although as one who believes in the former I am shooting for love, which post the shooting is to hard to tag and label.
