| Posted by Therese Elaine on 10/24/10 at 07:28 PM Love is what you make of it and the only problem is being too afraid to enjoy expressing it...each person loves and is loved differently, no two people will ever express it the same way, but as long as they do, some part of the world understands and embraces them...
And you said Mumbletypeg...do you KNOW how much I love that word -do you know what it means?! One of my favourite quotes uses that word! Yes -I am totally having a moment... |

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 10/25/10 at 08:12 AM Well, we love anyway. I love this.
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 10/25/10 at 12:17 PM just think if poets did not love easily, they would spend entirely too much time making it hard on themselves searching not for the easy to extract love within themselves but rather for the kind that was difficult to pluck which would provide a poet no time at all to write such a fine poem as this. thus, loving easily is a practical matter thought such practicality be stocked to the full with saber toothed consequences it is well worth the love bites.
Posted by Rhiannon Jones on 10/25/10 at 12:53 PM "like tootsie rolls at a veterans day parade"...I like that!

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 10/29/10 at 03:35 PM Quite charming, actually. I enjoyed especially the mix of things in the "favorite shirt" stanza.

Posted by Jim Benz on 12/21/10 at 01:17 AM "cold wet sweat of a stirred martini" - I'd agree with that one if it were shaken...
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 01/02/11 at 02:10 AM LOL! Cigarettes and wine sans glasses, except for readers...that's me. Excellent!
Posted by Joan Serratelli on 01/02/11 at 04:59 PM I agree. I also feel that love is fate. I do not believe that love can be taught- it is somehow pre-ordained/ This piece is outstanding. Thank you.

Posted by Kristine Briese on 05/06/11 at 01:07 AM Oh, Steve, this is perfect. The imagery and word choice are great, but mostly I love how beautifully truthful it is.
Posted by Mo Couts on 06/23/11 at 03:46 AM We may do it too easily, but that's still part of what makes it precious--that we keep doing it. Awesome read.
Posted by Meghan Helmich on 10/27/11 at 05:56 PM Amen, brother.
Posted by Kris Mara on 09/28/12 at 03:10 AM and here I just left a comment "loving" your words or something...so I guess you're right, but it doesn't mean we're insincere, just passionate or whatnot :) Again, great work, but I'm pretty sure you know that. and the tootsie rolls were perfect...
Posted by George Hoerner on 08/09/17 at 09:59 PM Ah 'love' one of those elusive words for me. I'm 80 and know how to spell and say but am still looking for understanding. I keep in that category of words, now numbering in the thousands, which I will never really know such as 'life' another four letter word.
