Posted by Therese Elaine on 10/15/10 at 06:16 PM We find ghosts in dappled leaves and unfurled blossoms, the clean scent mingling with the remembered taste of goodbye and sound of absence, a bittersweet recollection amidst the beauty of of that voice on the other end of the line...lovely piece, Glenn. |

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 10/21/10 at 01:13 AM Sad...haunting...beautiful, but not overbearing. I like this very much Glenn; well deserved to be #1. You have proven yourself once again a serious and talented poet. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 10/22/10 at 04:21 PM You visit that place we all have to deal with, missing loved ones and friends. I like the everyday habits that introduce this and then the realization. My fav is the clematis stanza - quite magical. Thank you for this. Jan would have loved it also. |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 11/05/10 at 01:20 PM Tender without sentimentality. I agree with Chris there is a haunting sadness. But there is also in the last stanza a great feeling of consolation and hope. |
