Materializing Online

by Alison McKenzie

I am hungry to drink the sound
Of my own vibrations –
Dancing alone in my livingroom,
Humming to find the melody,
Elusive nymph barely visible,
Leaving a vapor trail of joyous sparkles
While I, giggling, dart after her,
Trying to capture just a drop.

I materialize online,
Long dark locks of gentle curls,
Rounded hips and amply mounded peaks,
Strong though small in stature,
Walkingsoul Zenfold come to life,
An extension of my truest essence.

In this sacred space,
My voice sings pure,
Expressions saturated in validations,
Songs written by me, for me,
While I listen, rapt
Embraced by my own longing
To be loved inside myself.

It is a new day,
The sun rising in merry meet,
My feet barely touching the sands
As they slip through to another realm.

It is magic to feel deeply the soul of another, and this is what your words do. I was especially moved by stanza 3, and those last two lines keep this flowing beyond the last word. Thank you.

Your poem reminds me that I do not live in a vacuum and that it is relationship that I find a grand piece of the Creator. But I have to be willing to take that step into the ether, to put myself out there, before I can get the rewards of this unique intimacy. Thanks for this beautiful piece, my dear.

Love how the title drew me in, and not disappointed with the visit Alison. Visually and verbally eclectic; a pleasure to read...or better experience, as I have many times.

I want some of what she had!!! A wonderful walk through a psychedelic world where you chase the dragon through space and time to find yourself, face-to-face, you find yourself staring in the mirror, a smile which stretches across that fairy fed face! Great work as always Al-i-son!
