Hole

by Clara Mae Gregory

Hole.
The water
Is coming in
faster than
I can bail it out.
I know this.
Logic tells me
to give it up-
it’s a losing battle.
But I don’t listen.
By my bailing
buying time,
it bought us
our moment.
The one
where you come
with your
Plug.

this is a lovely little piece, from start to finish, the reader is held in your grasp, there with you, wet, holding a bucket, and smiling wide by the end :) great form, breaks, and urgency...kudos again, poet...peace, jewels xo

Clever in form and execution. I love how it begins with Hole and ends with Plug.
