last night by Kristina Woodhillthe moon was so close
we became like buddies
from an old silent movie,
complicit, on the dark side,
we hid in cratered-out
back lots,
shunning corner
guttering stars,
our faces
almost
visible,
stilled and frozen
in shared secret smiles
