last night

by Kristina Woodhill

the moon was so close
we became like buddies
from an old silent movie,
complicit, on the dark side,
we hid in cratered-out
back lots,
shunning corner
guttering stars,
our faces
almost
visible,
stilled and frozen
in shared secret smiles

(and you know what? this reads like a whisper, an old silent movie, a favorite buddies face)

As always a great write m'lady. The moon could teach as all a few things I'm sure, if it would just open up a bit.

At its closest last night, it WAS gorgeous, and this is an excellent tribute to the forces of gravity at work, darling Krisina!!! Love it!

There are in the moon powers to create and delight. You've been blessed with both here. Excellent! Thanks.

An "up close and personal encounter" of a most beautiful moon!

Great addition to the "moon" file Kristina! Quite original.

Kristina, is this what they mean by beauty. such as you have writ here for us to feed on? I do believe I will put this in my favorite annals, under the heading of what else, but Beautiful.
