Alberto Giacometti by Scott Utley
our planet?
a trillion times infinity.
our nation?
simply a quark in a maze that defies the logical.
a paradox more than brilliant surrealist expression,
she is less than a solitary galaxy in the art of modern man.
look over seas.
pierce your consciousness.
elucidate the meaning
of your purpose.
speak your inquiries
unto the southern hemisphere.
seek answers north,
seek reason south.
reverse, bout face, repeat.

Posted by George Hoerner on 10/22/08 at 08:11 PM A fine write Scott. He is one of my very favorite sculptors. I find his expression of man exquisite. The figure alone with no props the way we all are. |

Posted by Karl Waldbauer on 10/23/08 at 05:37 AM Scott, you've matured so gracefully, in such a refined and splendid manner that I'm almost awestruck. |
