Food not =2 happiness by Glenn CurrierI need food to live
but not to be happy. 07/04/2008 Author's Note: I'm not at all sure this qualifies as a poem, but it just showed up when I woke up this morning... so I thought I would share it. It DOES contain a truth I need to remember as my girth fails to contract.

Posted by Kate Demeree on 07/04/08 at 03:24 PM okay... it seems like a poem to me, and also a truth to be remembered. I recently quit smoking... and can identify with both the poem, and the authors note! |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 07/04/08 at 05:11 PM Me thinks anything that expresses the human soul regardless of number of lines qualifies Glenn. Reminds me of how at times I see eating more as a chore than a pleasure, though there's still lots of pleasure once the preparation's done. |

Good one.
Just like food for our bodies. Food for our soul.
It's not bad at all. :) |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 07/05/08 at 02:58 PM I have to laugh at your author's note about "girth" and "contract" - I'm thinking I need to re-negotiate my girth contract - there's got to be a clause on "size to be expected after 40" in there I missed. ;) |
