Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 06/25/08 at 05:34 PM I'm "etching lines on your tablet" here, hoping the ants can rearrange my words into something more beautiful, something I might add to my library, full of ideas pollinated and brought to bloom. Alas, the leaf cutter bee has made off with all the paper and I am writing on bits of paper flitting through the air. |
Posted by Sandy M. Humphrey on 06/25/08 at 09:57 PM I am intrigued and aware that 'noticing poetry is' being aware of the slightest nuance in the verbariage that is written by the movements of the tiniest among us. This inspired my definition which I have posted for your critique. smh |
Posted by Mary Frances Spencer on 06/26/08 at 06:51 AM "Poetry is noticing"...everything anything all things that come into our light and resonate our being, then rearranging the moment into expressive communication, a jumble of words to inform, inspire, stimulate, irritate or otherwise share an idea, story, emotion, or visual. Posted by Meghan Helmich on 06/27/08 at 08:18 PM ants stretch across my fingers without biting. that's what poetry feels like...a feather-light army pushing through the garbage of life. moving mountains exponentially larger than itself.
i'll be writing one, as well. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/28/08 at 06:09 PM Good poem Glenn. Ants do make good subjects for poetry. I went ahead a (re)posted a poem in response to the challenge without first having read the details. Hope you don't mind. It's the best I can come up with for the meantime with so much on my plate on the homefront. Thanks! :o) |
