In the Green

by Kristina Woodhill

On the Isle of the Green and the Harp
sat a leprechaun there in the dark
with never a fear
as the ghosties crept near
as he “POP”, disappeared in a spark!

Being of Irish heritage, I thot' I'd "pop" on, and say...'tis grand, indeed!

Fun. Aaaah. works of art based on mythology are always the best.. "wait a tic.. there's no such things as leprechauns?" I'm sure i'll be beaten in my sleep

LOL! Fun read, and good timing to read it, with tomorrow St. Paddy's day. Would you believe with a name like Sorrenti that I'm part Irish??? My mother's maiden name is Donnelly. :o)

Your Poem of the Day is the first to honor little people and is quite charming to say the least, Kristina. Thanks for entering the Contest too.
