Nothing said

by Tony Young

Cuffs and collar white
as softly fallen snow,
leather polished shine
a special place to go.
To place a single rose
princess blue,
blood red,
and with so much to say.
He tipped his hat instead
and walked away...

The imagery in this poem is amazing, Tony. I could almost picture myself walking away from a gravesite.

I agree with the above comments. A very vivid drawn here; excellently drawn with words. I could see the scene unfold. Beautifully executed.

Striking description of a visit to a gravesite. I was able to relate to this quite well!!

Really a fine description of this moment at a gravesite. I like the use of blue and blood red as the colors here - a stark contrast to the "cuffs and collar white". I admire the brevity of this piece which feels very complete with the visitor tipping his hat and walking away. Thank you!
