Yes, we ought to return to the basics in search of the so called ever illusive 'soul', the source of all that is, from experiencers point of view. brilliant.

Maybe it is time we contemplate the proper use of the spoon vs. the flavor of the soup!

And who are we ... really? Your words make for a powerful, bone-chilling and quality read ... letting very little slip through the imagination. Back to basics, be who we are, let life in, fill the void, forget or remember freud? Great read, Chris. :)

Extra Terrestrial soul indeed. We best start finding it or we WILL end up in the soup... or maybe the point is to realize we are already there but for our miopia, can't see it. Sometimes I get so tied up in being a pea I can't see the soup. Wonderful piece, Chris. Beautiful image.

Very poignant and how so true! Reminds of my own SETI poem in some regards. Why do we bother when we can't even get along with ourselves!?

Oooh, snap! Right to the point with a fine metaphor. Let's get our own house in order before we visit someone else's.... d:-)
