Posted by Jim Benz on 04/08/06 at 08:06 PM and bless you too. everything is such a vital aspect of the moment, but you've expressed it so well. you're a true poet, jill. |
Posted by Rula Shin on 04/09/06 at 02:28 PM This is beautiful, layered so subtley with a message of depth. You've taken the idea of subjective knowledge and related it to the self image, questioned. Senses tell you a false story, and reason shapes the puzzle pieces in order to fit them together. I hear you askig - "What is small?" "Who and where am I?" - "What is left by which to know?" - and I hear your most beautiful and profound answer fully AWARE: "We belong to ths same moment before us". The answer is where you stand, it has been all along. Your poetry is inquisitive and so meaningful. |
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 04/09/06 at 02:28 PM We belong in this same moment before us.
Come take a closer look".. the message lies here and suble. The time cannot be experienced in piece meal nor can it be experienced fractured in space and time.I can sense a questioning mind approaching what is.The moment shall turn into life when life shall merge with it. All the answers lies in this merging.

Posted by Kyle Anne Kish on 04/13/06 at 04:11 AM Jill, the sentiments, strength, love, imagery, empathy and yes-we've-been-through-this-together feelings which went into this poem are astounding. Knowing what you've been through to lead up to this poem and where things have gone, gives this piece just the right ray of sunshine on the stem of dew. Yes, you are a true poet. |
Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 04/17/06 at 06:56 AM Tiny droplet poems...magnify...
look through them,
enlarging vision--
life-lines.
Here evidence
in clear lense of moments of
parallel pathswhere we are
"larger than life"
in a tiny space... |

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 06/03/07 at 09:30 AM there's never been a time when my life felt not foreign to me, but thank god for that, I don't think I could handle my life as a domestic. It is a beautiful notion you have set down in words, Elizabeth. |
