Teach Me Forever Love

by Kate Demeree

Humbly

Immersed in your eyes

Drinking my fill

Of honest emotion

Shyly I come to you

Hungry for what

You offer

Sincerely to me

Words inadequate

To describe thoughts

Emotions

Kept bottled inside

Now…

Wanting to burst forth

As fingers trail

Over gentle, firm lips

Across rugged jaw

To frame the face

Of the man I love

Foolish willful child was I

Holding onto thin air

Lies and masks

Deceptions and deceiver

When I could have

Held you…

I have searched all my life for you

Until now…

When you found me

Hold me Love

Now and through eternity

Will I Honor and cherish you

Gratefully…

You have taught me Love

I understand

At last

What it means to…

Love

Honor

Cherish

And Obey

i liked how you started this one out "drinking my fill of honest emotion"-humbly (which is only the true way I believe one could really accomplish this:)Nice writing!-Robin

Wow! Dreamy, magical pixy dust to set us all down love's path. The font only adds to the effect. Well done!

I want to know, how is it possible in view of these words not to be loved honored cherished and yes, even obeyed. I love to obey love when it is pure, but love gives no command to obey but to be true.

Makes the long, arduous journey worthwile in the end doesn't it? Powerfully rendered, Kate...for good reason!
