Autumn Hair

by Charles E Minshall

My head on top
Is looking like my bottom,
The hair that was there
Has reached it's autumn.

Now the area
From eyebrows to nape,
Is as bare as my bottom
There is no escape.

The Lord giveth, and taketh,
The Lord taketh away,
Darneth the taketh
For the bareness display.

I wish hair would return
Like flora each spring,
But I guess one can't
Have everything.

H-m-m-m, flowers growing
On the top of my head,
I think I'll make do
With the bareness instead.

Charlie, you brighten up my life so much! Now I'll probably have trouble getting to sleep, because I'll keep thinking about this poem! LOL!

Brillianty expressed. One of your recent best in my opinion Charlie. Wish I had written it...glad you did!

LOL!! I can relate. Maybe more hair on my bottom! I don't miss it anymore!

LOL! I, for one, can REALLY appreciate this one, both its humor and its small frustration. As usual, you cause me to laugh at the undeniably real.

You're so much fun. Now you know why some people think bald is sexy!

I love it when I come across a poem that is fun and rythmic without being empty. Well done.

So wonderfully funny and nothing like what I was expecting due to the title, lol!
