Lost And Found

by Anne Engelen

You said:

"I'm lost in you and never want to be found"

I thought:

"I found myself in you and will be entirely lost without you"

Exquisite play on words that show the perspectives of two people in love. Great read.

I LOVE this. This is so completely what I've been feeling lately, and you captured it brilliantly. Thank you for this!

This vision of the duality of love, two sides of the same coin, if you will, is another of your beautiful, concise gems, Anne.

Superbly put Anne. Talk about putting an ocean in a nut shell!

Mmm - I like the simplicity of this. It works at so many levels!

Unbelievably well done, just two phrases twisted and turned around each other, entangled this way and that to mean so much, communicate so much in their paradoxical positions, exposing perfectly not only the sentiment of deep love, but the delight and beauty of playing with language. Very nicely done Anne :-)

Beautiful economy of words.

I love the title of this Zenlike piece, Anne. Lost in the finding of yourself and harmonious alliance is the utopian quest of a true soul mate. pe4ce...

I'm with Charlie M. Wish I had thought of that first verse. What a zinger. Two couplets for a couple that I will not soon forget.
