Wind Dancing

by Max Bouillet

May autumn leaves
tumble through the sky
and brush against your cheek.

(they are fallen kisses from
goddesses in hiding, too timid
to reveal themselves)

...and if after the leave's
windswept dance,
they should land at your feet,
crumble them not.

Throw them once again to the wind
and blow kisses back to
she who sent them your way
to begin with.

Oh, my dear Max. This weary journeyman sits at the root of this tree after FEELING Robert Frost's "Leaf Treader" for many weeks now. I know this space is for critique, but I search out the most beautiful leaf, in its wholeness and final brilliant colour, and give it back to you with a kiss from my open palm to yours. This...is beautiful. It spoke to my SOUL.

would ne'er think to step on defunct nature, beautiful still in her demise. revitalized through your quill.

it's all wistful and soft and fuzzy.

There is a touch of realism and mysticism here, very balanced; and much warmth. I'm getting excited about autumn now :)

Yes, romantic but with a metaphysical touch. The blending is so complete. This is beautiful.
