Stop The Silence

by Kate Demeree

Rake a nail across my skin

So that I, may feel alive again

Place on my trembling finger tips

Warmth from your softly parted lips

Peel from me this webbed cocoon

Steeped with silence, this seeming tomb

Part these folds of false tranquility

Stir my passion, set me free

One of the best I've read in a long time.

It is so important to feel alive... to feel anything. Sometimes it takes a rake of the nails to kick us into becoming engaged. Movement is life. Great read.

Oooo Kate - so stirring a plea; truly universal and so potently expressed. Excellent!

given that you are such a warm and loving and expressive person, how could one turn deaf ear upon such a reasonable request as to be set free, given they had such power or the mere fact of keys.

Sensual perfection! This one begs to be heard, and not just under the breath. Pe4ce...

"Rake a nail across my skin", expresses a purity of feeling here, a distillation of passion. Written beautifully. Great work.
