Love Kneaded

by Anne Engelen

Purring clawing cat

Paw kneading love into me

Adored tamed wildness

01/29/2004

Author's Note: I spent my lunch break with Aspro, at the house where I left him behind after leaving my marriage. Aspro is the most loveable huggable cat I've ever known.

I get those love kneads too. They feel great, except Penny Lane still has her front claws and sometimes forgets to pull them in when seeking affection.

'Paw kneading love' a beautiful image. Extremely meaningful.Capable of providing positive impressions, the cause of this effect, this very poem.

This superb piece has found the softness in me and resonates with feline sanctitude. Now, if I could just get you to scratch me under the chin. Pe4ce...

Heart warming to be true! I love cats, but am allergic to them. *sigh*

Great haiku, but an even greater bow to this great species and how much these little ones can be desperately kneaded friends. Brilliant, Anne. Thanks form a cat lover. Glad you found new love.

Wonderful senryu about one of our domesticated friend's unusual, but endearing, traits!

With three cats, only one still does this - very endearing, as is this poem. Thank you.

Is there something 'catty' about this poem? Just kidding...so cute and cuddly. I really enjoyed this.
