circular bolts. by Andrew S Adamscaution, you triggerhappy robot.
the world has yet to tell it's fate,
and you're just like me at the moment.
wasting the time from one more day,
awaiting news of the apocalypse on the back
of the straw that ruined the cliche about the camel.
speak of the bible, you unfeeling drone.
read me the qaran, read me the torah,
read me shakespeare. read me voltaire.
read me nietzche, or just bombard my
consciousness with marxist theory.
show me a new way of anything,
negate the little things that make up
who i am.
make me unfeeling, robot.
throw caution to the wind.
and throw the bolts so far away that i may find them at the
other end of the world, just behind my back.
one day, you'll feel like me,
and i'll just be you. 11/10/2003 Posted on 11/10/2003 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 11/11/03 at 12:06 PM a very touching poem and visionary. |
Posted by Richard D Frederick on 11/12/03 at 01:52 AM hurrah, the return of the philosophical and political. it started to seem the trend on pathetic.org was going back to the personal/relationship (and that's not always bad) but maybe that just reflects my own shifting subjects, like tidal waves. |
