kiss away

by Michele Schottelkorb

"kiss away"
was all she heard
through the shattered glass galore
"kiss away
i have no use
for a pitiful worthless whore
"

~run away~
was what she did
footsteps echoing though the night
~run away
from this abyss
filled with terror and with fright
~

(find a way)
whispered her soul
deep within her heart
(FIND A WAY
she stood up proud
ready for a new start
)

but REMEMBER the day
(she can't forget)
that liberation took place
REMEMBER the day
lest she forget
and continue falling from her grace...

I am glad for your sake, that it is an ex and not a current( as a male I am embarrased for my gender when they abuse women, the mother's of their children and supposedly the women they love.

Highly original look at an all too common problem. Glad you survived.
