Yet another creation: FACE TO FACE. by Ashok ShardaYet another creation: FACE TO FACE.
Side-1
I created him innocently
He killed me intentionally
And announced
HE IS ME.
Side-2
I created him innocently
I killed him intentionally
And announced
I AM
The real position
I created him innocently
He encroached upon me intentionally
And claimed
HE IS ME.
05/16/2003 Author's Note: We can really DO if we can UNDO part of us.DOING is UNDOING in real sense. Rest is just happening, our reactions to the external stimuli. We do register many of the selves in the course of our formatory age. We do have a self, we want to BE, the INTENDED one, who is in conflict with these selves, undesired and innocently created.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 05/16/03 at 04:51 PM Hmmmm makes me wonder about the innocence! ;) Humor with an intellectual sting! |
Posted by Mara Meade on 05/16/03 at 05:35 PM Yes, there are always two sides, if not more, to a situation... even if it is your self. Being willing to examine all facets, not just what YOU want to believe, is the way to discovery. Very well said, Ashok... as usual. |
Posted by Betania Tesch on 05/16/03 at 09:02 PM oh the paradox of it all...the illusion of knowing |
Posted by Alex Smyth on 05/17/03 at 02:51 AM Hmmm...I'm a pretty good ways up the road of my life, and I still don't have the identity thing down pat. Think I could hitch a ride on insights like this and make faster progress. Really something to ponder on... |

Posted by Agnes Eva on 05/17/03 at 06:03 PM yes sometimes we may think we control, but yet it sneaks up on us all the same... gosh it's fun to be human :P |
Posted by Traci Mabats on 05/19/03 at 12:32 AM I cant quite remember my original comment but I really found this interesting. It seemed to me like it was a personality disorder and the conflict people can have with it. |
Posted by JD Clay on 05/19/03 at 03:00 AM A revelation in the discovery of the self, a monumental task in presiding over it. Superb aphorism, Ashok.
Peace... |

Posted by Max Bouillet on 11/21/03 at 11:12 PM A difficult idea to convey in verse. You do it quite well. The self we want, the self we percieve, and the self we are; are usually different selves that are in competition with each other. Great verse. |
Posted by Glenn Currier on 03/21/04 at 04:54 AM This poem is so profound. Living long means you repeat repeat repeat repeat to the tenth power the sides you describe. Just in the last two days I have I created him innocently and then killed him intentionally... grateful that me still IS... to experience the Create-activity of my Brothers. |
