Of All Things Worthy

by Rhodora M Fitzgerald

You are the brook
from which fresh drink is drawn,
sweat is washed from worried brow
and swollen feet are dipped.

You are the sun
that floods life with warmth,
dries away tears
and encourages growth from within.

You are the wind
that possesses the power to be strong
yet remains mellow enough
to blow gentle breezes through tousled hair.

You are the seasoned rock
that stands unbroken
offering constancy
and respite for wearied head.

You are the freshness
of new air breathed in
and the sigh
of old air expended.

You are the seasonable rain
that comes full circle,
quenches droughted lands
and falls upon parched lips.

It has the feel of a litany. All praise to the good nature we can give to one another! This is what constancy and true love is for, and you celebrate it beautifully, "full circle, with a poetic embrace.

Totally beautiful. You are indeed fortunate to have someone in your life like this. At first I thought it was about Jesus, because these are all the things I think of Him. Congratulations on POTD!
