No where at all - 1 by Ashok ShardaNo where at all - 1
They kept on moving
Right there
Nowhere at all.
The paths were known
And numerous
Though
They arrived nowhere.
They went on creating barriers
In the disguise of goals, within
Perpetuating inertia
Bit by bit.
They kept on moving
Right there
Nowhere at all.
They kept on creating illusions
Magnifying hefty words
So much that
They lost meaning of the meaning.
They kept on registering nothingness
In the disguise of something
Reinforcing the barriers so much
That they lost meaning of BEING.
They kept on moving
Right there
Nowhere at all.
Applauded they were, indeed!
But the beginning was still afar
They stood fast there
Went nowhere at all.
In the course of this journey
They arrived nowhere
They went on chasing the TIME
While the TIME went on chasing them.
They kept on moving
Right there
Nowhere at all.

Posted by Glenn Currier on 02/07/03 at 04:21 AM I take it back, I like this one better than # 2. I relate so much to verse number 3. It is a brilliant statement of how our our efficient organizational machines spin our wheels and go nowhere at times. And then comfort ourselves with more illusions. Great poem, Ashok. |

Posted by Jeanne Marie Hoffman on 07/17/03 at 06:22 AM You need to make a book. The philosophy of Ashok. I find you as thought provoking as the philosphers I study! |
