Angel of the night

by Rommel Cruz

In the stillness of the night
An angel sits by the old garden fountain
And beckons the summer breeze
To strum her soft, wavy hair.
Her innocent smile and sweet whispers
Mesmerizes the roses into a heavenly choir.
Her radiant skin glistens
And enchants even the sparkling stars
As the silver moon blushes
And hides on her shawl of feathered clouds.
Concealed, I watch this angel's porcelain fingers
Dip into the emerald waters
And send ripples to my longing heart.

I wish I could remember the name of the artist, American, who was popular during the Art Noveau (sp?) period - this is one of his paintings... ethereal and softly lit... beautiful. If I remember his name I'll get it to you.
