(Not your usual) Shower

by Rommel Cruz

Let the warm welcomed
water trickle down your face
and embrace
you with its gentle flowing hands.

Surrender yourself
and be cleansed
of pains experienced
and past hurtful guilts.

Lather love and affection
and watch your skin glisten
as lustful bubbles of sins
are forever blown away.

Shave off material excesses
and let your emotional hunger
be replaced with joy and laughter
rejuvinating your weary soul.

Rinse jealousy and deceit
off your troubled heart
as the towel sings its part
patting you with life's strength and meaning.

Ah, this is exactly how I feel after I've had a stressful day. All I want to do is take a shower so I can feel refreshed again. Wonderfully done:-)

A sensual shower as cleansing as a confession booth..

Wow...just a shower turned into a fantastic relaxation of washing the stress away. If only it were that easy, I would live in my shower! :) Fantastic job!

Rommel, This, to me, is not negative. It is quite soulful and insightful, and I enjoy reading it. Ron

lovely cleansing process, if only one had the strength of will to repeat that to yourself every time you take a shower...

Loved this! Very worthy of POTD! There's nothing like a great "shower" to cleanse the inside and the out! :o)

This carries a very positive message. Positive emotions are capable of providing the necessary drive to sustain the concept of greater goodness. Where as if the charge is negative one is filled with anger, hatred, violence, envy and what not. You said this beautifully. Emotional drive needs to be properly channelized so that it doesn't turn into pure emotionalism.
