| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 11/06/02 at 05:25 PM I like what you've done with this Vimal; tighter, more focused. Correct me if I'm wrong but is this about a dead friend? |
| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 11/06/02 at 05:27 PM Forgot to mention that I especially like how you've used words in this stanza: In a world where
Dead is chivalry
Alive is rivalry
Dreams came cascading
Providing consolations
Fulfilling the unfulfilled

| Posted by Mara Meade on 11/11/02 at 08:43 PM Vimal, this can take many meanings. The line about "her folded arms never to unfold for alms" is tragic... did she give up or was the choice taken from her? This is haunting... very haunting. |
| Posted by Christina Bruno on 11/15/02 at 01:37 AM Ooh I love it and your rhyme scheme is great |
| Posted by Glenn Currier on 11/17/02 at 03:18 AM My favorite lines: Hearing a squirming /
I slipped out of my dreaming ... My compliment to you on the invitation to multiple meanings your words evoke. I see the Angel Within and hear connection with another beyond. There is a soft mystery in your poem, Vimal... fascinating. Good work.

alive is rivalry, no truer words were ever uttered, none, sadder. The angel need not be awake to shed a tear. Beautiful poem, Vimal |
| Posted by JD Clay on 03/02/03 at 02:13 PM This is an intricate portrait of consolation and solice. Very nice work Vimal. Peace... |
| Posted by Kate Demeree on 04/18/03 at 11:03 PM Tottering she was
Searching for an Angel
Slipping back,I was
Weaving beautiful dreams
On the fabric of my mind
Sometimes.... it seems we are born out of sync. I think this is my fav. of the whole poem. |

| Posted by Jean Mollett on 07/02/03 at 10:30 PM Hi Vimal,
It's beautiful, yet sad. It could be a child or a adult that left to go to heaven. May ya find Peace & JOy soon within yourself. Peace & Joy, Jean. |

| Posted by Glenn Currier on 07/07/03 at 12:25 AM Vimal, since you got POTD (congratulations to you, by the way) I reread this poem. I like it even more now. I see the angel within as the Spirit within each of us that makes us dream and is open to the Universe. The awakening experience brings us back to our Earthly perceptions and boundaries. Thanks again for this lovely piece. |
