Reverse Criticism by Chris Sorrenti
There’s a disturbing undercurrent of aimless thought and
unproductive idealism in Sorrenti’s poetry,
despite the careful glossing over he gives his subjects.
Each book is an all-out balancing act between good and evil,
with plenty of inexperience and naivete mixed in,
as he tries to pass himself off as a Frost or Whitman.
Having thrown all sense of rhyme and rhythm out the window,
this renegade has wasted the better part of a lifetime,
courting the English language with uncouth advances and proposals.

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 10/02/22 at 01:00 AM I enjoyed this self critique (by another you LOL). Loved that last line especially. Good tongue in cheek in this one, also. Thanks! |
