| Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 09/11/22 at 07:23 PM I am surprised sometimes at how much I admired Queen Elizabeth II, living south of your border and embracing our notion that life is better without a monarchy. Like you, she was part of my whole life and I grew to respect her enormously over time. It was only recently I discovered my mom bought a charming bone china coronation tea cup and saucer, undoubtedly in 1952. I saved it among other things when she died and find myself this week drinking daintily from it. How curious and wonderful are our connections to people who have somehow influenced us all of our lives. Thanks, Chris. |
