Eggs Anyone? or Space: The Boundless Sky

by Chris Sorrenti

I’m always amazed at the vastness of the universe, the huge distances between anything that’s out there, including us.

Thanks to the new James Webb orbiting telescope, we continue to make new discoveries, ever further into the reaches beyond, including planets like our own, orbiting distant stars, that could very well have and support life.

About 10 years ago, astronomers catalogued a monster galaxy, 12.4 billion light years away, called COSMOS-AZTEC 1, producing 1,000 times as many stars as our own Milky Way. When I first saw the below photo, my initial response was it reminded me of when you crack open an egg, and there’s more than one yolk.
