Spring Morning

by Kristina Woodhill

Dawn
Spring fully aroused
Her wind's ocean swooshes winter from our threshold
Waves at me inside, beckons,
Daring doors to unhinge,
Windows to unblink their blinds.
I rummage my old captain's hat
From a bottom drawer,
Don my oilskins,
Breach the roar outside,
Grab the ship's wheel as it careens by
and sail

Happy Spring! Good poem to welcome it in. It's sprung here in Ottawa also. :)
