I saw the strangest thing
Coming home from groceries today
A German Shepherd without leash
Galloping down busy Hunt Club Road
As if seeing himself as one of the many cars
Slowing down behind or changing lanes
To avoid hitting him
I kept watching to see where he went
But a wall of vehicles prevented any further view

There was no mention in the evening news
