Masked Limerick

by Kristina Woodhill

The thief put his mask on with glee
To the store for some beer, make it free!
Though no one could tell
His face really fell
When masked people were all he could see.

Author's Note: Challenge at our Zoom poetry yesterday - write a limerick, possibly pandemic related. LOL

lol Good limerick. I was just saying the other day to my son that I'd make a lousy bank robber. Every time I go out with a mask on, people immediately recognize me before I know who they are; waning eyesight...I don't wear my glasses outdoors in winter as they fog up from the cold.
