mid-Autumn ice cold rain

let’s get it over and done with
but not today

23 degrees Celsius predicted
that’s 73 Fahrenheit for you Yanks
peering north into the Great White North

Yes – it is blizzarding in other parts of the country
out west where winter sometimes arrives
as early as late August or September

But no and know not Ottawa
a week of May or June if not July
breaking records left and right
at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month
