Pumpkins by Kristina Woodhill
patch
plentiful
picked with precision
plump
oh, perfect!
patterns
petrifying or
playful?
prepped
punctured
poked
pared
pieces pulled
parts protrude
posed
publically presented
progeny
of proud porch parents
tick tock
tick tock
temperature trampolines
tick tock
tick tock
turn turn turn
tamped
tapering
tucking for termination
touch me not (tacit)
totally trashed
particles
puckered
pulled apart
powerful
putrid
pew
point me to the compost pile

Crux for me, tacitly my glowing eyes search for fire akin from kindled, dim in the cold air
I'm a happy ending waiting for ends to meet |
