New Geometry

by Chris Sorrenti

I swore I’d never write another poem
To you in August
My love
Despite your birthday coming up
Oh so fast

So many eyes focused on
What I may have to say
How you might interpret it
Anxious for the next chapter
Of what we are
Or may never have been
How it continues to reshape
Our unique geometry

And you know what I say love?
Let ‘em look !

Chris, I love the simplicity, the truthfulness, the forthrightness and the honesty in this poem. Keep up the good work, brother.
