This Time

by Chris Sorrenti

I feel a peculiar guilt
in wanting to celebrate life
with so much death and destruction
all around
as the old saying goes
the more things change
the more they stay the same
in the wake of helplessness
we shake our collective heads
thank those lucky stars
it wasn’t us

this time

Quite! Losing cousins right and left this last year, I certainly feel the need to dive in and live!! Don't feel guilty, Chris. Enjoy!
